YOUR FACE HERE
FREENovember 21, 14:00 - 17:00
Watermans Art Centre, London
In week four of the Production Methods series of workshops Jonathan Munro will be exploring the nature of advertising and how a picture can be used to sell a thousand products, services and just about anything these days.
The workshop participants will be given the task of creating advertising images with the Production Methods "staff", inviting all company staff to engage in better business practices and create forcefully engaging internal product marketing. Participants will explore the creation of a series of stock images for use as part of many "marketing solutions".
The workshop will be a hands on photographic experience, as well as a progression of the main themes of the Production Methods exhibition, the group will also be given the chance to explore professional photographic methods, lighting subjects and editing through the use of Lightroom and Photoshop software. Further exhibition details and directions.
The event is free and open to all, please email to book: email@example.com
Jonathan Munro (b. 1982, England)
Through a close study of the peculiarities of corporate culture, Munro decodes the control mechanisms inherent to capitalism that shape human behaviour. Adopting items he discovers in the workplace as materials in his practice, his artworks are often witty re-formulations of found objects and texts.
From a warped take on corporate motivational poster, to a play on the competitive style of an after-work game of table tennis, Munro aims to formulate a shrewd and mischievous analysis of our business influenced environment.
